Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute pilot-scale food processing trials aligned with GMP, FDA, and internal safety standards
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, engineering, and operations to ensure equipment functionality and process alignment
- Coordinate trial planning and scale-up activities at pilot and factory levels, translating lab ideas into full-scale production
- Apply expertise in unit operations (mixing, sterilization, retort, packaging) to optimize performance and efficiency
- Maintain detailed records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food or CPG R&D environments
- Hands-on knowledge of sterilization, retort processing, and food safety principles
- Must have reliable vehicle travel to Chicago required once per week
- Strong communicator with excellent coordination and technical documentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
