RIGHTSTONE IS HIRING! We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist who can confidently set up, operate, and troubleshoot machining equipment. You ll be joining our team in Houston, TX with $25/hr pay for a 6 months contract with temp-to-hire opportunity. What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment with minimal supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce precision parts.
- Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machine setups, tooling, and machining issues to maximize quality and production efficiency.
- Support production by moving between CNC and manual machining while maintaining first-pass quality.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC turning and milling machines independently.
- Hands-on experience with manual machining equipment.
- Strong blueprint reading skills and knowledge of GD&T, dimensional tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
- Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Experience with multi-machine setups, basic CNC programming, or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
