Job Description

We are looking for a Commercial Capability Manager in Chicago IL.  If you can resolve problems using existing solutions, but may also solve complex problems taking a new perspective on existing solutions and can work under moderate level of guidance and direction APPLY NOW!  

LOCATION: Hybrid Role with periodic Onsite meetings - 930 W. Evergreen Ave Chicago IL 60642

DURATION: 6-mos contract  

PAY: $61/hour

WORK HOURS: Monday Friday: 40 hours per week

Job Duties:

  • Maximizes value for money. Leverages external capabilities, optimizes and protects the supply chain and ensures responsible and continuous supply of materials, services and finished goods


Commercial Effectiveness
  • Partner with Commercial stakeholders (e.G. Sourcing, operations, transactions, supplier quality assurance, etc.) to develop and deploy best practice processes, tools, guidelines and systems
  • Develops and deploys learning and development strategy, programs and tools to enable development of functional capabilities within the Commercial function on a global basis


Commercial Capability
  • Responsible for transforming and developing best-in-class approaches to Commercial practices in partnership with the functional teams, including designing and integrating the frameworks, skills/competencies, processes, training, systems, tools and data insights to ensure Commercial excellence is embedded into ways of working internally and externally with our third parties


Skills Needed:

Strong Sourcing Skills include:
  • Developing a sourcing strategy
  • Building stakeholders engagement
  • Building and executing a tender in a tool like Kilvar
  • Analytical Skills
  • Negotiating Skills
  • Contract development - from a template, in a tool


Portfolio management skills
  • Managing a portfolio of projects in a tool (excel, or other)
  • Collaborating with project owners on updates
  • Reporting back to leadership with updates
