Custodial Technician
Job Description
Rightstone is looking for a Custodial Technician in La Feria, TX. The pay rate is $13.50/hr. for a full-time contract role with a consistent Monday Friday, 8 AM 5 PM schedule.
In this role, you will be the key person responsible for maintaining a welcoming, sanitized, and professional environment for a premier local facility. You will handle everything from interior cleaning and floor care to light maintenance and event setup. This is an ideal position for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working independently to ensure high standards of cleanliness and facility readiness.
What you will do
- Maintain a pristine and sanitized facility by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors, stairs, and horizontal surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch areas including restrooms, kitchens, appliances, and all glass surfaces (mirrors, doors, and tables).
- Manage waste removal and debris collection inside the facility and at entry points to ensure a polished appearance.
- Ensure all common areas are stocked with essential supplies, including water, facial tissues, and cleaning products.
- Perform light maintenance and facility care such as replacing light bulbs and removing dust or debris from exterior entryways.
- Assist in the professional setup and cleanup of chapel services, team meetings, and the arrangement of floral tributes.
- Collaborate with management to monitor supply inventory and report any emergency maintenance or repair needs.
What we are looking for
- High School Diploma or equivalent who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- A valid Driver s License (required), as you may occasionally operate company vehicles for facility needs.
- Physical agility and dexterity to rearrange furniture, vacuum large, carpeted areas, and perform manual tasks throughout the day.
- Familiarity with standard cleaning equipment, chemical solutions, and basic maintenance tools.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while strictly following safety guidelines and protocols.
- A "safety-first" mindset with a resilience to standard cleaning compounds and a keen eye for detail.
- Basic computer skills for minor administrative tasks and a commitment to being available for occasional weekend services.
Important
This is a temporary/contract position with no benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off during the contract period.
