Senior CNC Machinist
Job Description
RightStone is looking for a Senior CNC Machinist in Stafford, TX, offering $26/hr. on a 12-month contract with potential renewal. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components in a precision manufacturing environment. This position supports Baker Hughes, a global leader in energy technology, and is ideal for experienced CNC professionals who thrive in Lean manufacturing settings and take pride in quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce consistent, high-quality products
- Develop, edit, and maintain CNC programs for production orders
- Maintain and update program files as required
- Read and interpret CAD prints and machining specifications
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with CAD drawings and ISO 9001 standards
- Complete inspection records and documentation supporting ISO 9001 certification
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including checking oil and coolant levels
- Use machining tools and supplies correctly (inserts, drills, coolant, etc.)
- Clean and maintain machines and work areas
- Provide backup support to other departments as needed
- Participate in quality, safety, and training meetings
- Complete forms and documentation to support continuous process improvement
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on workload and business needs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational training as a CNC Journeyman Machinist preferred
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
- Strong CNC programming experience
- Solid understanding of machining theory and best practices
- Proficiency in math, calculations, and blueprint reading
- Strong reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
