Who will Provide individuals located at manufacturing site provide day-to-day HSE support and provide technical expertise and compliance support, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and practices, and assist in responding to significant incidents and government requests/notices. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Providing individuals located at manufacturing site provide day-to-day HSE support
- Advising functional managers regarding HSE approaches, processes and procedures
- Providing technical expertise and compliance support, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and practices, and assist in responding to significant incidents and government requests/notices
- Liaising with internal and external HSE professionals and regulators and ensure audit protection privilege is instituted where & when appropriate
- Coordinating/conducting compliance audits/reviews of site work areas and coach personnel on identified improvement opportunities and closure of findings/recommendations
- Coaching colleagues enabling them to successfully discharge their HSE leadership responsibilities
- Evaluating program effectiveness and implement strategies and tactics to meet business expectations
- Introducing and firmly establish programs, tools, and training to ensure compliance with legal requirements, implementation of company HSE Management System (MS).
- Implementing HSE priorities, metrics, goals, and requirements to complete the integration process and operational ownership of EHS
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 3-7 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental role(s) or closely related field.
- Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment / support to services organization
- Have a thorough understanding of HSE regulations and regulatory process
- Be a motivated self-starter that promotes teamwork and collaboration in a cross-functional environment
- Ability to communicate well with others
- Have interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Have leadership initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift/Crane
