Job Description
RIGHTSTONE IS HIRING! We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds Associate to join our team in Ambler, PA with $17/hr pay for 45 days contract (temp only). This position plays a key role in maintaining the cemetery grounds, assisting with burial preparations, and ensuring the property remains safe, respectful, and well-kept for families and visitors. What You ll Do:
- Assist with openings and closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments.
- Operate grounds equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and hand tools.
- Dig graves, set and install burial markers, memorials, and foundations.
- Install outer burial containers and complete site preparations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly appearance of burial sites and surrounding areas.
- Fill graves, tamp soil, seed or sod as required.
- Handle and complete work orders related to individual grave and marker maintenance.
- Safely operate larger equipment such as dump trucks, tractors, utility vehicles, backhoes, and trailers.
- Follow all company safety policies and Dignity Memorial Promise standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What We re Looking For:
- Valid driver s license with acceptable driving record.
- Minimum 6 months experience operating landscaping/groundskeeping equipment.
- Ability to operate hand tools (shovel, rake, sledgehammer, chain saw, etc.) and mechanical equipment (dump truck, tractor, backhoe, etc.).
- Ability to accurately use measuring devices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with team members, contractors, and client families.
- Physically able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
