Cemetery Grounds Maintenance
Job Description
RIGHTSTONE IS HIRING! We re looking for a Grounds Maintenance Associate to help care for cemetery and memorial park grounds, ensuring they remain beautiful, peaceful, and respectful places for families and visitors. You ll be joining our team in Hixon, TN with $19/hr pay for a 3 months contract (temp only). This role is hands-on and important. You ll help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for those visiting loved ones. APPLY NOW!
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8: 00 AM 5: 00 PM (weekends as needed)
What You ll Be Doing
- Mowing grass and trimming around walkways and headstones
- Picking up trash and debris around the cemetery
- Emptying trash cans
- Using a blower to keep areas clean
- Planting flowers and helping maintain landscaping
- Assisting with setting up tents and chairs for services
- Helping prepare and finish gravesites
- Installing grave markers and memorials
- Operating landscaping equipment like mowers and trimmers
- Helping with general clean-up and basic repairs
- Assisting with work orders as needed
What We re Looking For:
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Physically able to lift heavy objects and perform hands-on tasks
- Able to safely operate landscaping equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional and respectful attitude, especially around grieving families
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or cemetery maintenance (preferred)
- Valid driver s license with a clean driving record (preferred)
- Certification for pesticide or chemical application (if applicable)
