Bilingual First Party Collections Agent
Job Description
We are looking for dedicated Bilingual First Party Collections Agents in New Orleans Louisiana 70121 with $18.00/hr. Pay, contract role until Dec 2025 and potential to be permanent. We are seeking a bilingual, motivated collections professional to support customers with past due accounts. You'll use strong communication skills to negotiate payments, resolve issues, and provide excellent service across phone, email, and chat all while ensuring compliance with company policies. Requires high school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in collections, customer service, or call center environments and must be Bilingual (English and Spanish) APPLY NOW!
Next class begins in September, and all of the necessary equipment to work in the office and from home will be provided.
Schedule: Training is 6 weeks in-office, Monday Friday, 8: 00 AM 5: 00 PM CST. After training, the role shifts to a hybrid schedule (10 in-office days per month). Available permanent shifts are 10: 00 AM 7: 00 PM and 11: 00 AM 8: 00 PM CST.
Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound calls from customers with past due balances, identify payment issues, and negotiate resolutions
- Accept and process payments securely, update customer information, and document outcomes
- Communicate with customers via phone, chat, and email while maintaining accurate records
- Utilize skip tracing tools and resources to locate and contact hard-to-reach customers
- Follow internal policies, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain compliance and data integrity
Essential Functions:
- Requires high school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in collections, customer service, or call center environments
- Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and general computer applications
- Motivated, process-driven, and adaptable to new systems and workflows
- Must be able to multitask across voice, chat, and email platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Positive attitude, reliable, and eager to learn
