Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated First Party Collections in New Orleans Louisiana 70121 with $18.00/hr pay for a 6-month contract, temp to hire opportunity. You will serve as a persuasive and solutions-focused communicator responsible for engaging customers with past-due accounts and help them find payment solutions. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, as well as chat and email communication. This role requires strong communication skills, confidence when discussing payments, and the ability to stay organized while using company systems.
The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and 1 2 years of experience in a call center, collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or inside sales preferred. APPLY NOW!
Training: 6 weeks of training onsite, Monday Friday, 8: 00am 5: 00pm CST
After training: Hybrid schedule (10 days per month in office, remaining days work from home).
Shifts available from 8am to 8 pm CST and some Saturday mornings
You will receive full onsite training, and once you meet performance goals, you may qualify for a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound calls regarding past-due accounts and discuss payment options with customers.
- Build rapport, understand payment concerns, and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Update customer information and document all conversations accurately in the system.
- Accept and post payments using secure, PCI-compliant systems.
- Research account discrepancies and contact internal teams when needed.
- Communicate with customers by phone, email, and chat.
- Follow company policies and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Meet productivity and quality goals in a team-based contact center environment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 2 years of experience in a call center, collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or inside sales preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable multitasking between calls, chat, and email.
- Ability to learn new software quickly.
- Professional, positive attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook.
- Experience maintaining databases and working with software systems strongly preferred.
- Contact center experience combined with customer service or collections background is highly desirable.
