We are looking for a Junior Accountant for a Hybrid role in St. Charles, MO with 6months contract duration to assist in key finance functions related to our supply chain and manufacturing functions. Requires a Diploma, degree, college or technical school and atleast 3yrs of financial background, APPLY NOW!




Job Title: HYBRID - Junior Accountant

Location: Hybrid position candidate should live near the St. Charles location

Duration: 6months Contract

Pay: $28/Hourly on W2

 

Essential Job Duties:
  • Assist in key finance functions related to our supply chain and manufacturing functions.
  • Preparing key inputs for period closing (journal entries, reconciliations, data verification) for approval by others.
  • Supporting general reporting needs for the team (refreshing data pulls, creating presentations, updating data and key reports for use by the team).
  • These reports will look at our key performance indicators and financial metrics.
  • Assist in gathering needed data for our annual operating plan process to create budgets for key departments and teams.
  • Gather supporting documentation for tax credits and other incentives.
  • Create purchase orders, project codes, and monitor key budgets in our financial systems.
  • Assist with asset accounting to ensure proper capitalization and tracking of purchases as planned for 2023.

 

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Junior Accountant should have working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience; advanced excel skills required; experience with different financial and accounting tools a plus
  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision; asks for help when needed to deliver on time and with quality
  • Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes decisions based on factual information
  • This is typically an Assignment with significantly more authority and responsibility at this Assignment level. It should be selected to recognize differences which are not enough to be represented by a separate Assignment level, such as increased proficiency in skills/competencies to perform responsibilities, greater impact to the business unit, customer, segment, geography, etc. May also provide guidance or leadership to other Associates.
  • Needs to be able to work well with people in a collaborative manner as often will need to go to others to obtain critical inputs and supporting documents.
  • Work well with systems, comfortable with tools and high level of excel knowledge.
  • Understanding of key accounting principles is needed.

 

Specific Skills and Qualifications:
  • Financial background either in accounting, or financial analysis and reporting is desired
  • Strong excel skills data sorting, pivot tables, VLOOKUP s
  • Focused on data accuracy can verify their work is correct or ask for help if needed
  • Ability to reach out to people in order to pursue needed information
  • Diploma, degree, college or technical school

 

Finance Duties:
  • Provides dual roles of Financial Custodian and Co-Pilot for the business. As Custodian, Finance plays a critical role to create and maintain a controlled environment for the business to help maintain its financial integrity. As Co-Pilot, Finance plays an active role in helping set the strategic direction of the business as well as providing decision-making support to deliver financial commitments and improve overall business performance.

 

Financial Operations:
  • Responsible for ensuring the organization s transactions are processed accurately and on time for Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Travel/Entertainment Expenses.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communications and co-operation with business customers. Responsibilities also include providing project accounting support and analysis.

 

General Accounting Duties:
  • Accounting includes work across multiple areas of Accounting including: Ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.G., general ledger, cash payments/collections, etc.)
  • Control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.)
  • Accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, budget reporting, etc.)
