Job Description
Rightstone is looking for Linen Sorters in Batavia, NY. The pay rate is $18.55/hr. for a full-time, 8-month contract with a strong "Temp-to-Hire" potential for top performers.
In this role, you will be a vital part of a high-speed healthcare logistics team, ensuring that critical medical facilities receive sanitized and organized linens. Operating on the 3rd shift (1: 00 AM 9: 30 AM), you will handle industrial sorting and production tasks in a fast-paced, SOP-driven environment. What you will do:
- Correctly sort out healthcare linens moving on high-speed conveyor belts to ensure efficient plant flow.
- Manually pick up soiled linens and accurately place them into the corresponding industrial slings or carts.
- Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet high-volume production and quality standards.
- Utilize all provided PPE (gowns, masks, gloves, and shoe covers) to maintain safety and hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with the production team to manage workflow during mandatory overtime and Saturday shifts.
- Monitor equipment and belt speeds to report any jams or mechanical issues to the floor supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure a safe industrial environment.
What we are looking for:
- A highly dependable individual with a strong work ethic, ready to commit to a 1: 00 AM 9: 30 AM schedule.
- Physical stamina to stand, reach, and lift consistently throughout an 8-hour industrial shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where meeting hourly production goals is a priority.
- Comfort working with soiled healthcare linens while following all safety and biohazard protocols.
- Flexibility to work mandatory overtime, currently including a Monday Saturday rotation.
- A professional with a clean background; E-Verify completion is strictly required prior to starting.
- A team player with a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a desire for a permanent role.
Important
This is a temporary/contract position with no benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off during the contract period, but these may become available upon conversion to a permanent role.
