We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist (Sourcing Specialist) to join our sourcing team in Houston, TX with $32/hr pay for 1 year contract (temp to perm opportunity). What You ll Do:
- Place and follow-up on purchase orders (POs) and manage supplier communications for timely execution.
- Resolve schedule changes, procurement issues, and update ERP systems accordingly.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the sourcing function.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate procurement and design services.
- Manage high-volume purchase order requests and blanket purchase order agreements.
- Track order releases, ensuring timely supplier payment and invoice clearance.
- Work as part of a global team of buyers to support procurement projects.
What we re looking for:
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of procurement/sourcing experience.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in procurement, sourcing, or related supply chain role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as a collaborative team member.
- Experience with ERP systems;Oracle Pascal and Oracle Oscar preferred.
- Industrial energy technology experience is a plus.
