Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
Looking to build your career in manufacturing? We re hiring a Manufacturing Technician in Houston, TX offering $19/hour for a 12-month contract with potential for permanent placement. In this role, you will support daily production operations by monitoring equipment, assisting with machine setup, and maintaining quality standards. We re seeking someone who has hands-on experience operating forklifts and cranes, can follow instructions efficiently, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule:
- Rotating shifts (Monday Friday): 5: 00 AM 1: 30 PM | 1: 00 PM 9: 30 PM | 9: 00 PM 5: 30 AM (weekends may be required;schedule may change weekly)
Key Responsibilities
- Support production operations across extrusion, tapeline, and cover line processes
- Monitor equipment performance and assist with machine setup
- Maintain quality standards and report any production issues
- Perform general housekeeping duties (cleaning, mopping, sweeping, trash removal, cleaning shavings)
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with operators and leadership to ensure safe and efficient production
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior experience operating forklifts and cranes required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and general labor duties
- Capable of lifting and handling materials as needed
