Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler in Des Moines, Iowa 50313 with $18/hr pay for a 5-month contract duration, potential to be permanent. - Monday-Friday, 7: 00AM- 3: 30PM
Dress code:
- Pants and shirt
- Steel toes required
Overview:
Pick and pull electrical equipment to get ready to ship out.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Works independently to load, unload, and move materials within or near work site.
- Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests.
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks.
- Packs and ships customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Required Skills:
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized, and positive warehouse environment.
- Able to comprehend oral and written communication skills to effectively read labels, tickets, and other product documentation.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, carry, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the warehouse in various temperatures.
- Able to accurately use basic math skills.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Attention to detail and good time management skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old
