We are looking for physically fit and hard-working Project Specialist in La Palma California who will is capable of moving book collections. Shifting & Compressing books. Has experience in cart moving and box moving. Must also be fast on the 10-Key. If you are interested and qualified, APPLY NOW!
Note: The training will be in Pico Rivera location in any day that works for the identified candidate and then the actual job will be in the La Palma location.
Work Schedule: M-F, 6am-2: 30pm 5 days a week.
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr. On W2
Duration: 4-months (Potential renewal)
Overview and Roles:
The pallets do not fit inside of the room, so the team has to stack the boxes on a U-boat cart and move them into the room, offload one box at a time, take it to the desk, build a new box, and as the team is indexing, they will also be re-boxing. So, the files will go into a new box. Once done, you will need to put a piece of tissue at the top of the box and some card stock on the side of the e-boxes, put 4 labels on the outside of the box, and then break down the old box and move onto the next box. The candidates will be also doing Data Entry. Target 30 boxes a day. Very Physical job.

- The work is very physical requiring the manual lifting, carrying, and moving/arranging of boxes.
- Must be able to lift and carry boxes ranging in weight from 10-100 lbs. On a regular basis, without assistance.
- Must be able to load and safely use a U-boat cart.
- Data Entry skills.
- Protective footwear is required and shall meet ASTM F2413-11 Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear and have a slip-resistant rating designated as Better or Best - Required
