QC Inspector
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated QC Inspector in Stafford Texas 77477 with $28-$33/hr pay for a 6-month contract, temp role opportunity. This role is responsible for ensuring manufactured oil and gas components meet engineering specifications, material requirements, and quality standards. It requires strong experience in dimensional inspection, material verification, and non-destructive examination methods.

Schedule: Monday Friday, 6: 30am 3: 30pm with overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured components to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hard gauges, profilometers, optical comparators, and micro-hite systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to confirm dimensional conformance and product functionality.
- Review vendor documentation, including Material Test Reports, to ensure material compliance with required standards.
- Conduct non-destructive testing such as liquid penetrant and ultrasonic testing when required.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances for technical review and proper disposition.
- Initiate change requests to Engineering when design or manufacturability concerns are identified.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Interface with customers, third-party representatives, and certifying authorities as needed.
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain compliance with company and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing;5+ years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of common materials and chemical properties used in oil and gas manufacturing.
- Experience performing dimensional inspections and familiarity with non-destructive examination methods such as liquid penetrant and ultrasonic testing preferred.
- Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement techniques required.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Material Test Reports.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment with regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.
