Job Description
We are currently hiring a Preventative Maintenance Technician for a 1-year contract with potential temp-to-perm opportunity in Broussard, LA 70518, offering a pay rate of $20/hour. In this role, you will perform routine inspections and low-level preventive maintenance on specialized testing equipment, including the WEETECH W424 machine, to ensure equipment reliability and accuracy. This position requires hands-on experience with preventive maintenance, the ability to use voltmeters and diagnostic tools, perform basic mechanical tasks such as replacing O-rings and seals, follow safety protocols, and accurately document maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on testing machines and related equipment.
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment housing and sealing surfaces to identify wear, damage, or contamination.
- Operate the WEETECH W424 machine to perform leakage and continuity testing according to established procedures.
- Use voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to obtain accurate electrical measurements.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks, including replacing O-rings, seals, and external tool components.
- Accurately document inspection results and maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with troubleshooting minor equipment issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians when needed.
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in preventive or routine maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or testing environment.
- Basic mechanical skills, including replacing seals, O-rings, and performing minor adjustments.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- Willingness to wear PPE and comply with safety regulations.
- Technical or mechanical training is a plus but not required.
- Able to work from Monday-Friday (08: 00AM - 05: 00PM)
