Job Description
We are looking for a Shred Technician - Document Destruction Specialist in Atlanta, GA 30331 to join our team and play a crucial role in our shredding operations, ensuring secure and efficient disposal of confidential materials. Job Responsibilities:
- Wheeling and rolling various-sized bins to the granulator and paper shredder areas
- Bin weights: Paper shredding area - max 350 lbs., Granulator area - max 525 lbs.
- Bins equipped with wheels and secured on an automated electric lift platform
- Activate lift mechanism to empty bins into the granulator/shredder and remove empty bins
- Additional task: Technicians in the granulator area may handle electronic media boxes and place them into the granulator
Requirements:
- Must have attention to detail and constantly be aware of surroundings
- Must comply with all safety requirements while in the facility, including wearing a high visibility vest, safety glasses, and other safety equipment (all supplied by Iron Mountain)
- Must be ambulatory, including the ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time;
- Must be able to work without assistance to grip, lift, push, and pull wheeled, plastic bins and manually sort items in the bin;
- Must be able to unload boxes from pallets and empty boxes weighing up to 50lbs into the shredder or collection area.
