Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Technician for a 6-month temporary assignment in Claremore, OK 74017, offering $18.00/hr. The Technician will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and operating manufacturing equipment such as rewinders, tapelines, braiders, and extruders. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and follow written instructions, and at least six months of previous manufacturing experience. This position requires excellent attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor assigned production equipment according to established manufacturing procedures.
- Perform cable repair, patching, and splicing as needed to ensure product quality.
- Conduct quality assurance checks in accordance with engineering and ISO standards.
- Accurately interpret work instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Use precision measuring instruments and general hand tools safely and effectively.
- Operate or become certified to operate material-handling equipment and overhead cranes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and meet production goals.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be available to work on a rotating schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off, then 3 days on, 4 days off.
- Shift hours: 6: 00 PM 6: 00 AM (Nights) / 6: 00 AM 6: 00 PM (Days).
