Job Description


We are seeking skilled and motivated Technician Mechanics to join a leading manufacturing team. This is a 6-month contract position with strong potential to convert to a permanent role, offering $20.00/hour (up to $21.00/hour for qualified candidates). Technician Mechanics are responsible for the complete manufacturing process of PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) drill bits, from fabrication and assembly through finishing and final inspection in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable performing physically demanding work while developing skills across multiple manufacturing processes.

Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6: 00 AM-4: 00 PM or 4: 00 PM-2: 00 AM, with weekend availability required as needed.



Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, finish, and inspect PDC drill bits from start to final inspection.
  • Perform manufacturing processes including:
  • CNC Machining
  • Welding
  • Brazing
  • Grinding
  • Plotting
  • Painting
  • Furnacing
  • Quality Inspection
  • Final Cleanup
  • General Repair/Rework
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and build specifications.
  • Follow bills of materials and manufacturing procedures to meet customer requirements.
  • Utilize pneumatic and electric hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and make adjustments according to process specifications.
  • Cross-train in multiple manufacturing processes as production demands require.



Qualifications
  • Previous manual assembly and/or fabrication experience.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, routers, bills of materials, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Basic math skills, including decimal and fraction conversions.
  • Ability to work from product specifications and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.



Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • This is a physically demanding manufacturing role requiring frequent grinding, hammering, chiseling, and the use of pneumatic and electric hand tools. Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in a climate-controlled workshop.
